c£60,000 + no validation bonus + benefits

Financial Planner

Around £60,000 in year-one earnings before you've written a penny of new business. And no validation targets to worry about.

That's the starting point for this Financial Planner opportunity.

You'll join on a £45,000 basic salary, receive a £3,600 car allowance and inherit an established client bank generating £90,000–£105,000 in annual ongoing fees.

You'll earn 10% of those ongoing fees as the income transfers to you. That's another £9,000–£10,500 a year without having to generate any new business.

Add the company's discretionary profit share scheme (worth £1,800 last year) and you're looking at around £60,000 in annual earnings before new business.

And you'll earn 15% on every pound of new business fees you write. With no validation.

There's a £20,000 annual new business target, but you don't have to hit it before you start earning bonus. You'll earn 15% from the first pound.

And the client bank you'll inherit generated around £60,000 in new business fees the year before last.

Repeat that performance and your annual earnings could approach £70,000.
Not bad for a role where you're not expected to start from scratch.

You'll have flexibility in how you work, too.

This is a remote-based role, with no regular office attendance required. The clients you'll inherit are largely based in Herefordshire, with around 60–70% currently seen face to face.

You'll have control over how you manage your diary and client relationships, including the option to conduct reviews by video where appropriate. You'll need to be comfortable travelling to see clients, but you'll have plenty of flexibility in how you organise your working week.

And the £45,000 basic salary is a starting point, not a ceiling.

The firm has introduced a structured career development plan, so you'll know exactly what's expected of you, how you can progress and what you need to do to increase your salary.

It's a transparent approach to career progression, with clear expectations rather than vague promises about where you might be in five years.

They've got a great handle on support too.

You'll have someone on hand to sort valuations and schedule client meetings and reviews. There's also dedicated support for any queries relating to the client management system.

You'll have a buddy and a dedicated manager, a proper induction (with expenses covered) and the support of a wider team of IFAs who are always happy to help.

And we know the people here well. They're a great bunch. You'll find that out at interview.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

You'll be a Level 4 qualified Financial Planner, either independent or restricted, with CAS.

You'll have good technical knowledge, particularly around pensions and investments, and be comfortable managing an established client bank.

You'll enjoy working in an environment where you're trusted to get on with things. You'll be a self-starter, happy to take responsibility for your clients and organise your own working week.

And given the location of the client bank, you'll need to be within reasonable travelling distance of Herefordshire. That said, you can move clients to a virtual service and that makes things more manageable.

NEXT STEPS

This is a chance to inherit a genuine client bank, earn from it straight away and build something longer term without starting from zero.
