Financial Planning Administrator

Financial Services
Sales Support/Administration

Some advisers need an administrator.

Others need someone who really knows how to keep everything moving.

This is the second one.

The role

You’ll work predominantly on a 1:1 basis with a Financial Planner, taking ownership of the administration around their clients, cases, reviews and applications.

So this isn’t a role where you’ll sit in a large support team picking jobs from a queue. You’ll know your adviser, know their clients and know exactly where everything is up to.

The business itself has grown significantly following an acquisition last year, bringing across a substantial number of new clients and advisers. They now need an experienced administrator who can bring organisation, structure and consistency to one of those adviser relationships.

You’ll be arranging client reviews, preparing valuations and review packs, obtaining illustrations, submitting applications, chasing providers, updating the back-office system and generally making sure nothing gets forgotten or delayed.

You’ll also have plenty of direct contact with clients and providers, so you’ll need to be confident, organised and comfortable taking responsibility rather than waiting to be told what to do next.

The package

Salary is up to £40,000 depending on experience.

The role is ideally office-based because of the close working relationship with the adviser, although they will consider some hybrid working for the right person.

You’ll be joining a growing financial planning business where experienced support staff are genuinely valued and where you’ll have real ownership of the adviser relationship rather than being one small cog in a huge support function.

Here’s what you’ll need

You’ll need at least two years’ experience in an IFA or financial planning business, with a good understanding of pensions, investments and protection.

Just as importantly you’ll be organised, confident dealing with clients and providers, and comfortable taking ownership of your workload.

If you’re an experienced IFA Administrator who likes proper ownership of your work, this should be worth a conversation.

If you don’t have an up-to-date CV, don’t worry. Send us what you have and we can come to the CV later.

Everyone will receive a response.
