Paraplanner joins the board of The Personal Finance Society
The stock of the paraplanning profession continues to rise with news that The Personal Finance Society (PFS) has appointed Para-Sols director Cathi Harrison to its board.
Harrison founded a paraplanning out-sourcing firm in 2009 and is the first paraplanner to join their board, following on from the Institute of Financial Planning’s appointment of Richard Allum to its board in 2012.
Quoted in New Model Adviser, Harrison said: “My hope is to bring a fresh impetus to the board, from both a paraplanning and a “youth” perspective. I am below the average adviser age and have a real enthusiasm to see more young people choosing financial services as their career. This will be one of my personal key aims to work towards over the coming three years.”
