Outgrown your company?

It happens. They've not done anything wrong. You've enjoyed your time there. But you're drifting along not really learning anything new...

You'd like to test your technical skills. You'd like to work for an acquisitive business with ambitious plans (after all growth is a two way street). You'd like to progress.

And you can.

This firm is a finishing school. It has only lost two members of staff in 7 years and is now one of the top 5 IFA practices in Scotland. It has acquired several businesses and will soon hire more.

And as they grow so will you. One of their paraplanners is now a director who heads up their investment committee. Another will soon become an IFA. Whatever direction you want to take there will be opportunities.

A new planner is joining this summer following an acquisition and you'll provide 1-1 support to them. You'll join as one of five paraplanners who provide high level support to the firm's planners. These planners are Fellows/Chartered and even STEP qualified, as are several of the paraplanners.

That said exam status isn't as important to this business as knowledge, ethics and the desire to learn. And with their HNW clients needing advice on EISs, VCTs and Business Property Relief, your tech skills will come in handy.

You'll get a salary befitting your skills and experience. You'll have access to a generous discretionary bonus scheme. There's PMI, life cover and a pension.

But most importantly you'll work for a firm that focuses on two things - their clients and their staff. And everything else takes care of itself.

Given the technical nature of the role you'll need reasonable paraplanning experience. You'll need to have had exposure to HNW cases where EISs, VCTs, BPR etc. has been part of the equation. Exam progression and IO knowledge are nice to haves, but not vital.

You're not unhappy and the thought of interviews might be a turn off. But by clicking apply you'll not only get the chance to find out more, you'll get the chance to be happier.

If you don't have an up to date CV don't worry, we can come to that later. Just find a way of contacting us and we will be in touch to discuss this opportunity with you.
